In February 2026, the world awoke to a video portraying former President Barack Obama and his wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama, heads transposed onto apes’ bodies.
The posting of the Obamas remained on the World Wide Web for approximately 12 hours before the White House took it down amid bipartisan outrage, including from close Trump allies, reported by CNN news. While on Air Force One, the president gave an explanation, “Was the first acknowledgement that Trump himself had screened at least part of the video that had thrown the White House into damage control mode for most of the day”. The White House said earlier, “after the video was removed, that a staffer had posted it in error”.
This reporter went to the White House page to see if I could get a quote, but I couldn’t find anything discussing, apologizing and/or taking responsibility for the post being uploaded.
Enough is enough. This administration has bulldozed their way through the struggles and fights, to end racism and civil rights to prevail. I know the words that all men should be treated equally, but the mega group is ensuring that only the white privilege holds that title.
According to the Oxford English Dictionary, prejudice is “discrimination or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.”
A program to combat racism
All cultures have had their fair share of racism. They have also had their fair share of civil rights movements and leaders. There are those who will come before this report, as far back as the 1700s, such as George Mason 1725-1792 (American), Olaudah Equiano 1745-1797 (United Kingdom), Olympe de Gouges 1748-1793 (France), all the way up to the 21st century.
Former U.S. President Lyndon Baines Johnson, who held the highest office from 1963 to 1966, wanted to end racism in the country.
During his term, his goal was to end racism in this country and provide civil rights to all who lived under the flag of the U.S. stated in several documentaries, including Vietnam the 10,000 Day War.
But the universe had other plans for Johnson. President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. Johnson, who was the vice president, was sworn in as the president of the U.S. He inherited policies and executive orders laid down by Kennedy. One that would haunt Johnson for the rest of his life was becoming involved in the Vietnam War. His dream for civil rights would be overshadowed by the Vietnam War.
Johnson, as President, may have wanted to attempt to combat racism, but there were dedicated civil rights activists moving the effort forward. Martin Luther King Jr., Claude Black, Julian Bond, Stokely Carmichael, Shirley Chisholm, Eldridge Cleaver, actors Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, heavyweight champion Mohammed Ali, and many others followed, with the understanding that this is something that would happen overnight.
In what we would call an uphill battle, we experienced hills and valleys in the civil rights movement. It has not been linear. But when President Trump took office in 2017, we were set back. Hills became mountains. As one president truly try to make this his goal, another president comes along and unravels the whole ball of wax
From the interview on channel 8 News now – Las Vegas, Trump says, “I’m going to fix everything”.
But in 2025, Donald Trump entered into a second term as President of the U.S. With that, the world truly got to see a man on a vengeful trip, creating his own etiquette, his own philosophy, and his refusal to admit anything based on his decisions. Now, we have a leader who has let the world know racism is alive and well.
I went to the White House website to see if anything was posted by Trump or White House staff addressing his social media post featuring the Obamas. All I could find from that time period was a message from the President about the Super Bowl, as well as a message about Russia. There was no apology or explanation for the racist video for the Obama family.
With the world in turmoil, the chaos that is brewing, and the deception of this current administration, many believe that this was an intentional post and one that disregarded human dignity. The fact that this happened during Black History Month makes it nuclear.
Now my question to you, the human race, is this: Do you plan to attempt to change the philosophy and thought process of the current administration, or will you just let it continue spiraling out of control?
