On May 8 in CCC’s parking lots 3 and 6, from 4 to 9 p.m., Concilio de la Comunidad invited the community to come together and celebrate Cinco de Mayo with food vendors, folklorico, cars, music, a photo booth, and live Banda Estrellas de la Bahia.
Concilio de la comunidad invited Brotherhood Bay Area, Chelu Car Club, Just lowriders Bay Area car club, excandalow, and Otra Cosa car club to show off their cars. Solo riders and car clubs alike were invited to roll in at 4 p.m. and were charged $20 upon entry. While the event was free for all CCC students, non-CCC students had to pay a fee of $10 All proceeds supported Concilio de la Comunidad.
Local food vendors, such as Michoacan Burgers, Tacos el Panzon, Decorating Desserts and Genkibachi were invited to promote their small businesses within the community.
The event was buzzing with entertainment, from Richmond High School’s folklorico group, Alma Latina, DJ Gun from Heavy Hits Entertainment. The most notable of the lineup was Banda Estrellas de la Bahia, which set the tone for dancing and brought the whole community together.
